What does the prefix "cardio-" mean?
Heart. Examples: cardiology (study of heart), cardiovascular (heart and blood vessels)

Inflammation. Examples: arthritis (joint inflammation), bronchitis (bronchial tube inflammation)

Hyper- = excessive, above normal (hypertension). Hypo- = deficient, below normal (hypothermia).
