Is there a free AI tool that makes a printable quiz with an answer key from my lesson notes?
Yes. Paste your lesson notes below and FlashcardMaker.me writes a quiz from that text only: multiple choice, true/false and fill-in-the-blank. Print quiz + answer key prints the questions with name and score lines, and the key starts on a new page. Free with no account for up to 10 questions per quiz, 15 with a free account; Pro allows up to 100. The same quiz can become a flashcard deck for students.

What a classroom quiz maker should do
| Feature | FlashcardMaker.me | How to check any tool |
|---|---|---|
| Works from your own notes | Yes; questions use only the text you paste | Paste a short lesson and look for questions it could not have got from your text |
| Answer key on a separate page | Yes, the key prints after a page break | Print to PDF and see whether the key is mixed into the questions |
| Question types | Multiple choice, true/false, fill-in-the-blank | Check which types are on the free plan |
| Free quota | 10 questions with no account, 15 with a free account | Look for a stated number, not just "free to try" |
| Students can practise afterwards | Turn the quiz into a flashcard deck and share one link | See whether students need their own paid accounts |
Our figures were checked against the live product on 2026-11-04. Free plans change often, so check the current free plan of any other tool on its own site before you commit.
FAQ
Can I print the quiz without the answers on the same page?
Yes. Print quiz + answer key puts the questions first and starts the key on a new page, so you can hand out the questions and keep the key. Choose Save as PDF in the print dialog to keep a copy.
How many questions can I make for free?
Up to 10 per quiz with no account and 15 with a free account. Each quiz uses one of your daily free generations; taking, grading and printing it cost nothing extra. Pro raises the limit to 100 questions.
Will it add facts that are not in my notes?
It is told to write questions only from the text you paste, so the quiz matches what you taught. Read the key once before class, as you would with any AI-written material.
Can students take the quiz online instead?
Yes. Taken on screen, it grades instantly, shows the right answer with a one-line explanation and lets the student retake only the questions they missed.
Does it work for any subject or language?
Yes. The quiz follows the language and reading level of the notes you paste, from primary vocabulary to college science.
