In short
- From your material: paste notes, upload a text file, or type a topic. Questions come only from what you give it.
- Three question types: multiple choice (4 options), true/false and fill in the blank, mixed or on their own.
- Take it right here: auto-graded, with the correct answer and a short explanation for every question.
- Retake what you missed until the score is 100%, or reshuffle the whole test.
- Quiz → flashcards in one click, missed questions first, studied with spaced repetition.
- Print it as a worksheet with a separate answer key. Free, no signup for up to 10 questions.
How to make a practice test that actually helps
- Quiz one chapter at a time. 10 questions on one lecture beat 10 questions spread across a semester.
- Take it before you feel ready. Trying to recall an answer — even getting it wrong — fixes it in memory better than re-reading. Psychologists call this the testing effect.
- Read every explanation you got wrong, then retake only those questions.
- Turn the quiz into flashcards and review them over the next days. Spacing reviews out is what keeps the answer there on exam day.
- Come back a week later and make a fresh quiz from the same notes; new questions stop you memorising the old ones.
Quiz or flashcards?
Use both. A quiz shows you what you don’t know yet, in exam format. Flashcards fix it, a few minutes a day. That is why the two are one click apart here. If you already know you want cards, the AI flashcard generator writes them straight from your notes, and the study guide maker builds a full review sheet. Need only exam-style options for existing cards? Try the multiple choice generator.
Good for
- Students: a self-test the night before, built from your own lecture notes.
- Teachers: a quick printable check-for-understanding with an answer key.
- Certification and exam prep: paste the study manual chapter and drill it until you score 100%.
- Language learners: fill-in-the-blank vocabulary and grammar practice in the language you are learning.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this quiz maker really free?
Yes. Up to 10 questions per quiz with no account, 15 with a free account, and it uses one of your daily free generations. Taking the quiz, grading, printing and saving it as flashcards cost nothing extra. Pro raises the limit to 100 questions.
How do I make a practice test from my notes?
Paste your notes (or upload a .txt or .md file), choose the question types and how many questions you want, then click “Make my quiz”. The questions are written only from the text you gave, so they match what your class actually covered.
What question types can it make?
Multiple choice with four options, true/false, and fill in the blank. Mix all three or pick one. Fill-in-the-blank answers accept small differences in capitalisation, punctuation and listed synonyms.
Is the quiz graded automatically?
Yes. Click “Check my answers” to see your score, which questions you missed, the right answer and a one-line explanation for each. You can then retake only the questions you got wrong, or the whole quiz in a new order.
How do I turn the quiz into flashcards?
Click “Turn into flashcards” after grading (or “Skip to flashcards” before). Every question becomes a card with its answer and explanation on the back, the ones you missed first, and the deck opens in Learn mode with spaced repetition.
Can I print the quiz for a class?
Yes. “Print quiz + answer key” prints a clean worksheet with name and score lines, followed by the answer key on a separate page. Choose “Save as PDF” in the print dialog to share it.
Does it work in other languages?
Yes. The quiz is written in the language of your notes — paste Spanish notes and you get a Spanish quiz.
