Teacher FAQ

Is this a replacement for MagicSchool AI?

+

Not for everything. MagicSchool is a broad toolkit with 80+ teacher tools for lesson plans, rubrics, IEP drafts and emails. FlashcardMaker.me does one part of the job in more depth: review materials. It turns your notes into a quiz with an answer key, printable flashcards and a deck students study with spaced repetition at home. Many teachers plan in MagicSchool and build review here.

Is it free for teachers?

+

Yes. Making quizzes and flashcards from your notes is free to start with no account. A free account keeps your decks in the cloud and lets you share them with a class. Pro is only needed for unlimited decks and decks of up to 100 cards.

Can I print a quiz with an answer key?

+

Yes. After the quiz is generated, use Print quiz + answer key. The questions print first and the answer key starts on a new page, so you can hand out the questions and keep the key.

How do students use the deck I make?

+

Send the share link through your LMS or class chat. Students open it, copy the deck into their own free account and study with flip cards, multiple choice, typed answers and spaced repetition. They do not need your login.

Which grade levels does it work for?

+

Anything from upper elementary vocabulary to AP and college courses. The questions follow the reading level of the notes you paste, so paste the text you actually teach from. For younger students there are also ready-made printable sight word and multiplication cards.

Is student data collected?

+

Students can study a shared deck without giving us anything beyond what a free account needs (an email sign-in). We do not sell data and there are no ads on the site.
