Answer: condensation — Condensation is the phase change from gas to liquid, which is essential for cloud formation.
Q4.What is the primary energy source that drives the water cycle?
Earth's core heat · Gravity · Solar energy · Wind
Answer: Solar energy — The sun's energy powers evaporation, which is the initial step of the water cycle.
Q5.True or false: Runoff refers to water that soaks into the ground and becomes groundwater.

Tips for a practice exam that predicts your score
- Test before you feel ready. A low first score tells you where to spend the next hour.
- Mix question types. Fill in the blank forces recall; multiple choice alone can hide gaps.
- Space the retakes. Retake missed questions the next day, not straight away, and review the flashcard deck in between.
- Make it longer near the exam. Paste a full unit and go for a long test the week before.
Teachers making a test for a class should use the AI test generator, which is set up for printing with an answer key. For a daily warm-up, try the daily quiz. Studying for a big exam? See the Exam Pass.
Practice test generator FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I make a practice test from my notes?
Paste your notes, study guide or a chapter into the box above (or upload a .txt or .md file), pick the question types and click generate. You get an auto-graded test written only from that text, with a clock running while you answer.
Is this practice exam generator free?
Yes. A practice test of up to 10 questions needs no account, and a free account allows 15. Each test uses one daily free generation (1 a day without an account, 5 with one); retakes, grading and the mistake list are free. Before a big exam, the 7-Day Pass ($4.99 one-time) or Exam Pass ($19.99 for 3 months) gives tests of up to 100 questions with no daily limit.
Can I retake only the questions I got wrong?
Yes. After grading, “Retake the N I missed” starts a new round with just those questions. “Retake all, shuffled” runs the full test again in a new order so you are not remembering positions.
Is the practice test timed?
A clock runs from the first question and your time is shown with your score. There is no forced cut-off, so you can practise at exam pace and try to beat your time on the next attempt.
What happens to the questions I miss?
They are saved to a mistake list in this browser. The next time you open the generator it offers to turn them into a flashcard deck with spaced repetition, so review starts with what you got wrong. A question leaves the list once you answer it correctly.
Does it work for the SAT, NCLEX, MCAT or AP exams?
It writes questions from the material you paste, so it works for any course or exam you have notes for. It does not reproduce official exam questions. For exam-specific decks see our NCLEX, MCAT and SAT flashcard makers.
Why are practice tests better than rereading?
Retrieving an answer from memory strengthens it far more than reading it again, which psychologists call the testing effect. A practice test also shows you exactly what you do not know yet, while there is still time to fix it.
